Max Broadbent is an independent graphic designer and filmmaker based in Sheffield, UK. Specialising in the creation of visual identity, website design and filmmaking for clients spanning engineering, manufacturing, medical and charity sectors.

Workflow

Whether it's a one off job or ongoing work for your company or organisation, I can work closely with you to help you communicate your message. With experience working with small business's, charity's and large blue chip companies, I can be flexible – working remotely, on site, or by slotting into a bigger team.

The extended team

As a freelancer, I often collaborate with a network of designers, illustrators, developers and filmmakers. Depending on that job at hand, I sometimes call in expertise from outside the studio when needed. I'm always looking to work with new people, get in touch if you’re interested in working with me.

Process

Each job is different, but I typically approach things by scoping out the job, understanding the needs of a client and discussing various options of moving forward. A brief is then established and agreed. I would often then present various ideas which are then refined and further developed in a collaborative way with the client, until a final design is realised.

Approach

I look to bring simplicity to the fore in my approach, to enable clients to communicate clearly and beautifully in a visually chaotic world. Utilising strong typography, graphical elements, photography/video and illustration to establish brands, charities and businesses— using design as a means to communicate your story.
